Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Independent Sales Support professional who is eager to progress into a Business Development Manager role within six months. In this capacity, you will focus on cold calling potential clients within the fresh fruit and vegetable trading sector, generating leads, and supporting our sales initiatives. Additionally, you will conduct thorough online research to identify potential clients and uncover new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, experience in SaaS, and a passion for lead generation, with native fluency in Flemish or Dutch, and proficiency in English, French, or German as a valuable asset. Other language skills are also welcomed.

You will begin by engaging in foundational sales activities, collaborating closely with me (CCO) in cold calling and reaching out to potential clients to invite them to a video call where you can effectively present and advocate for our solution. A solid understanding of sales principles will enable you to identify the alignment between client challenges, needs, and our value proposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Cold Calling: Proactively reach out to potential clients in the fresh fruit and vegetable trading market to introduce our services and generate interest.
  • Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities online, utilizing a variety of resources and platforms.
  • Data Collection: Compile and organize data on potential clients, including contact information, business needs, and market trends.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team by maintaining a robust pipeline of leads and providing timely updates on client interactions.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with potential clients in Flemish/Dutch, and additional languages (English, French, German, or others as agreed).
  • Reporting: Document and report on cold calling activities, lead generation efforts, and client feedback to inform strategic decision-making using our CRM/ERP tool ODOO.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Native fluency in Flemish or Dutch, with exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as English, French, or German is a significant advantage. Other languages may also be beneficial.
  • Proven experience in cold calling, lead generation, or sales support, preferably within the fresh produce or trading industry.
  • Strong research skills to identify potential clients and gather relevant data online.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., ODOO, Salesforce, HubSpot) or lead generation platforms.
  • Basic understanding of the fresh fruit and vegetable trading market.
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Gain

  • A competitive bonus of 6% on every unique sale, with the minimum sales price (for the current fee of the main product) increasing every six months to approximately €550 per sale, excluding VAT if applicable. Payments are made immediately upon client payment. If a percentage is paid, it will be pro rata. An annual return bonus of 3% on regenerated sales, with a minimum yearly fee.
