Data Engineering Intern

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work with data scientist and BI analyst to develop, maintain, and optimize our data pipelines using Python. You'll also assist with data modeling tasks and gain exposure to cloud technologies like Azure.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to support our market insight tool
• Collaboration: Work alongside data scientists and BI analysts to streamline data processing and reporting
• Data Processing & Analysis: Utilize Python and Pandas to clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
• Data Modeling: Assist in creating and refining data models that drive efficient data storage and retrieval
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of processes, pipelines, and data models to support team collaboration and future development

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or have completed a full-time course in a relevant discipline
• Proficient in Python, with hands-on experience using Pandas for data manipulation
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A high level of enthusiasm for self-learning and the ability to quickly adapt and grow within a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Azure, data modeling/warehousing or workflow tools like Apache Airflow
